Record a Presentation Video: Slides Up Front, You in a Small Window
The usual way to make an explainer video is to record yourself first and cut in the slides later — slow. SpeakCam’s Present mode does both at once: slides fill the frame, you appear in a small window, you annotate as you talk, and the finished video comes out in one take.
What you can present
- Images: pick several at once and turn through them in order
- PDF: page by page — export any deck to PDF and it works
- Web: HTML decks like reveal.js or slidev, or any web page
Four steps to a take
- Tap “Present”, pick the aspect ratio and quality, and choose images or a PDF right there
- Attach your script; the prompter overlay follows your voice as usual
- Write [next] in the script where a page should turn — it turns when you get there; a Bluetooth clicker, the volume buttons or a tap on the canvas work too
- Circle the important bits with the pen: four styles, fading or persistent
The window and the frame
Drag the camera window anywhere, resize it, choose round or rounded-rectangle. Aspect ratios 9:16, 3:4, 1:1 and 16:9, export up to 4K. Pinch and drag the slide itself — what you see is what gets recorded.
FAQ
Do the slides get recorded into the video?+
Yes — that is the point of Present mode: slides and your camera window are composited into one video. Only the prompter overlay is left out.
How do pages turn automatically?+
Write [next] in the script wherever a page should turn; voice-following turns it when you reach that spot. [slide3] jumps straight to page 3.
Does it work with a Bluetooth clicker?+
Yes. Clickers, the arrow and space keys on a Bluetooth keyboard, and the volume buttons all turn pages.
