Prompter Cam Privacy Policy
The short version:Prompter Cam collects nothing. No accounts, no servers, no analytics SDKs, no ads. Your scripts, audio and video stay on your device from start to finish.
1. Who we are
Prompter Cam ("the app") is developed and published by Shenzhen Quanjing Digital Technology Co., Ltd. It is a talking-head recording tool: it records video while a smart teleprompter scrolls your script in time with your reading.
2. What data we collect
None.The app has no user accounts and integrates no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs. The developer runs no server that receives anything from you. We cannot see — and do not want to see — your scripts, your voice or your video.
3. System permissions the app uses
- Camera：To record your video. The feed is used for recording and nothing else.
- Microphone：To record audio and to drive the prompter’s voice tracking.
- Speech Recognition：To turn your reading into text in real time so the prompter can scroll. Recognition is provided by iOS and runs on the device whenever possible; in the rare cases where on-device recognition is unavailable, audio is processed by Apple’s speech recognition service (governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy). Results are used locally to drive the prompter and are never stored or uploaded by the app.
- Photo Library (add only)：To save finished recordings to your library. The app requests add-only access and cannot read anything already in your library.
iOS asks for each of these the first time you use the corresponding feature, and you can revoke any of them at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Storage and deletion
- Your scripts live in the app’s local storage. Deleting the app removes all of them.
- Recordings are saved to your system Photos library and are yours to manage.
- The app performs no cloud sync and no backup upload.
5. Third-party sharing
The app shares no data with third parties — because it never collects any in the first place. Apart from the iOS speech recognition described above, no third-party service is involved.
6. Children
The app is intended for a general audience, is not designed for children, and collects no personal information from anyone, minors included.
7. Changes to this policy
If the app ever gains a feature that involves collecting data (cloud sync, for example), we will update this policy first and surface it prominently in the app. We will never change this quietly.
